Ed: Check out S-Pic, a program by Chas Wyndham in this issue - it lets
you convert a graphic to an executable program (and you can then crunch
it). Not a bad way to have a completely portable graphic.

This pic was created using MandelSquare on an Amiga 4000. It was rendered
as a 256 colour picture then converted to HAM using AdPro. Unfortunately
it seems to have become "grainy" even though the original had less
colours. The original 256 colour picture when viewed on an AGA machine is
perfectly smooth and the colour transition is beautiful to view.
MandelSquare V1.6 can be found on Fish 835 and requires a MINIMUM of
kickstart 2.0, an '020, '030 or '040 CPU WITH a maths co-processor ('881,
'882). V1.6 now supports WB3 and AGA screen modes and has to be the best
fractal generator available on the PD (or even commercial) market.

Toshiba and Amplifier
These two pics were painted by Scott Castledine using Deluxe Paint, and
are pretty good examples of what you can do with techie looking subjects.
Scott runs a desktop publishing business on his Amiga in Tasmania - see
his description of it in MD32.
